Protecting from Tomato Blossom-End Rot
Tomato blossom-end rot can be extremely frustrating. This is a fairly common condition that may stem from a few different reasons (uneven watering, calcium deficiency, early harvest). For whatever the reason might be, here is a quick list of tips to help with this problem.
Use an all purpose 20-20-20 fertilizer watered-in evenly in the early days fo the tomato plant.
Give enough space between tomato plants when planting them (at least 50 cm between each plant)
Wait it out. Sometimes the 1st plants of the season may have blossom-end rot, but this disappears as more tomatoes grow. If you have cucumbers and peppers also growing, check them for the same issue. If they do not have this issue, it very well could be that you just need to wait it out.
